Morphology-based Research Of Long-span Public Building Design In The City

Architectural morphology is based on analytical method of morphology. It was a subject which to study the characterization of building emotional. It is by studying the architectural form of this abstract objects in people's thinking to guide the architectural design. Large-span public buildings in the city is a building types which need for strong emotional characteristics. We can strengthen the emotional characteristics of the construction to enable it to play a more powerfull and guidance role in the city through the research of large-span buildings by the mathod of morphological analysis.At the first, this article go through the history of large-span buildings. On its own development and building construction technology level, people's emotional sustenance can not be separated. And extracted the basic requirements of public awareness for the building form of the Large-span public buildings. Proposed the question of how to coordinate the architectural form and the other architectural elements.Secondly, the paper uses method of architectural morphological analysis to divided the form of large-span building into the basic elements and the basic carrier, which is also abstract aspects and representational aspects. The the abstract aspects of basic elements is decomposited into color, uality, quantity and field. The analyze of the effects on people's feelings though this five-point, we can get the different feelings when people under different abstract objects. The basic carrier of decomposition as for the overall, holistic and Local and detail.By the analyzing of the different perception when people face the different specific dimensions, we can get the method of how to guide large-span building on specific carrier to use the right basic elements to make the building capacity to maximize the emotional expression.Finally, the paper presented few design strategy of the Large-span public buildings based on the variable factors analysied by morphological which can be some guiding significance to the development of large-span construction in future.
