The Research On Application Of BIM In MEP Installation Project Of Large Public Buildings

As the booming of inland construction industry, considering the function and appearance of public buildings, their structure became more complex and the device gradually increased. Which Increasing the difficulty of mechanical and electrical installation projects, as well as the coordination between various professional. BIM technology based on the three-dimensional model, which include various information of the construction, can be used throughout the life cycle to conserve resources and improve efficiency. In the engineering project, BIM widely acclaimed because of its intuitive presentation, information integration and collaborative working mode.This paper studies on the application of BIM technology in mechanical and electrical installation process in large public buildings. First elaborated the development process of BIM concept, summarized domestic and foreign policies and standards and analyzed the present situation of the application of BIM technology and its development trend. Then further studied the application condition and advantages of BIM technology in mechanical and electrical installation process,mainly discussed the specific application measures in key sectors, Aiming at the existing problems in current application, it puts forward the corresponding solution ideas. Finally, this thesis introduced how BIM technology works in pipeline design optimization, collision detection and construction management in detail, and analyzed the application effect and inadequacies on the project.
