Study Of The Regional Rural Landscape Planning Theory

Rural landscape consists of the vast natural space environment and human settlements, which is the earliest and the most widely distributed landscape in the world. Scholars in our country's concern on rural landscape planning time only in the last 10 years, mainly include the agricultural landscape pattern, evolution of rural landscape ecology, rural land use,rural landscape evaluation and research of rural settlement landscape, but systematity of rural landscape planning theory, modernization of planning methods and application of the achievement of basic research related to the rural landscape are of relative weak. Based on the existing research and the common problems in our country, comprehensive applying varied planning theory and related methods, this study attempts to investigate the rural landscape of planning theory in depth. The author bases on extensive literature research and site visits, conducted the following theories:1. Propose and analyze two major issues rural landscape planning is facingAccording to the challenges and the present situation of rural landscape planning theory ,there are two major issues:â‘ The scale of rural landscape planning;â‘¡Lack of systematic planning theory.2. Regional Rural Landscape Planning SystemBased on the two major issues, this paper presents the idea that the regional planning and rural landscape planning should closely combine with each other and expand the scale and content of rural landscape planning. And the proposed regional rural landscape planning system should be composed of classification system, rural landscape evaluation system, rural landscape planning system, which also contains ecological restoration and protection system, agricultural production landscape system, rural village landscape planning system.3. Discussion of the related issues to the regional rural landscape planningAs it is a new integrated planning system, so we need new theories and techniques to support the system. The discussion includes three areas:â‘ The scale hierarchy of the regional landscape planning system This part mainly outlines the need to establish standards and the principles of the hierarchy, presents the idea that "let the problem to determine scale" and initially building a four-level scale hierarchy, which is composed of region, district, unit, small unit.â‘¡The approach points of the planning system, which includes the staff group of the planning, application of new technology and the general procedure of the rural landscape planning.â‘¢Current focus of rural landscape planning in our country. According to the actual situation in China, the author put forward the corresponding eight strategies, including the construction of regional ecological corridor network strategy, water protection and remediation strategy, regional strategies for intensification of agricultural production, rural tourism development strategy, integration strategy of rural settlements, agricultural demonstration zone strategy, local landscape protection strategy, rural community development strategy.The innovative researches in the paper are the followings: it first proposes the rural landscape planning should plan on the basis of regional level, and builds an integrated rural landscape planning system; and it estableishes the corresponding scale hierarchy for rural landscape planning for the first time. In addition, as the demand of the planning system, the paper also made some innovations in the approach points of the planning system.
