In recent years, with the rapid development of economic and urbanization process intensified, the city appeared in two emerging industries:decorative materials and furniture store. Large-scale furniture shopping, furniture sales center, a street furniture and other emerging markets, the appearance of the furniture market meet the needs of urban residents, and beautify the living. At present, the furniture industry is also more to the development of high-grade furniture products, which explains the rising living standards, consumer goods, materials, type, style, etc. have made new demands. However, the rise and development of furniture Industry, not only show its good side, but also bring an enormous fire hazard. Therefore, the furniture market's fire safety and evacuation has become a matter of concern.The paper, first the development of China's furniture market status are set forth, investigate and study a number of furniture stores of Shanxi, Sichuan, Shandong, etc., then statistics obtained basic date. Through statistical analysis of survey data mobility characteristics of furniture shopping centers, to assess the fire safety and fire evacuation scenarios. Meanwhile, Sichuan, Shandong and other provinces of the furniture market data were analyzed to confirm the reliability of statistical data. In this paper, a furniture mall in Shanxi Province as an example to investigate the profile of its building, fire load, mobility and other basic conditions, using performance-based building fire safety design analysis, setting several typical fire scenario, dynamic simulation software by FDS Fire Simulation Fire assess the shopping building when the fire reached a dangerous state of the time, and with the use of safe haven in Japan calculated test the safety of personnel evacuation time, compared the danger time of fire to confirm whether the evacuation time allowed to ensure evacuation, to assess the design of the furniture mall fire and evacuation safety design and rationality.By analyzing the simulation results, make some suggestions on the furniture store design of fire protection and evacuation. This fire safety study has a certain meaning on the protection of furniture mall property, personnel safety, guidance furniture store building fire safety design and personnel evacuation design.
