With the rapid development of China’s social economy, accelerating the urbanization of city, city population growth, large shopping center such as bamboo shoots after a spring rain as appeared in large numbers in all parts of the country. The volume of large shopping mall, complex function, personnel of high density, in project design, which need not only building reasonable utilization and reasonable to reduce capital investment, but also ensure the fire safety of buildings, many factors will inevitably lead to some problems in building fire protection design process, and these problems by using traditional method "in the form of" it is difficult to solve the more general problem, special requirements such as the layout of the resulting fire fire partition area is too large, the building with large indoor pedestrian street space is difficult to solve, building large size density caused evacuation width design to meet the requirements of specification, which will cause great adverse to the security personnel when there is a fire evacuation.This paper mainly analyzes the existing large shopping center building fire risk and safety evacuation problems, combined with the domestic and international research status on building fire safety evacuation performance design, to the Weifang Peace Plaza project fire protection design examples as the carrier, the fire protection design problem existing in the project, using qualitative and quantitative analysis of two ways of security. The qualitative analysis part mainly proposes the solution and suggestion for the design of combined with the standard and domestic similar case; the part of quantitative analysis using the smoke simulation software FDS, evacuation simulation software STEPS on flue gas specific fire scene spread trend and personnel evacuation state, to determine the feasibility of the solution. Through qualitative and quantitative analysis of the two part, can solve the Weifang Peace Plaza fire compartment and evacuation design in two aspects of the problem.Based on the Weifang Peace Plaza fire safety evacuation performance assessment, according to the fire protection problems, proposed the use of "Asia security zone","fire unit" concept of fire protection design, solutions and Countermeasures to the software, and is verified by computer simulation, visual and reliable, effect is obvious.This paper presents a large shopping center fire safety evacuation performance and design of the basic strategies and measures, the results of the research can be used to guide the design of building fire, fire prevention strategy.
