Artistic Conversion From Environmental Information To Architectural Form

It is commonly found in the modern society that the architectural form breaks away from the environment and lacks the individuality. And taking this as the breakthrough point, the article discusses the process of how to extract the most effective information for the creation of architectural form from the environment, and convert the information through artistic creation into architectural form. Finally it proposes the structure of creative thinking—"the artistic conversion from environmental information to architectural form".This paper agrees with the new regionalism which stresses importance of the relations between architecture and environment as well as the creative thinking of the integration of architecture and environmental art and is theoretically based on it. It studies the process of the artistic conversion from environmental information to architectural form through literature analysis, field work, case studies, comparative analysis, etc. and tries to establish a viable method of generating architectural form. This building form not only can be achieved in the short term, but also rooted in a particular human environment and natural environment, and it can meet people's spiritual and material needs today.
