Study On Interactive Technology Used In 3D Carton CAD

At present, three-dimensional interactive technology is still blank space in the application of carton CAD and the three-dimensional interaction has more intuition than two-dimensional interaction, so the research of three-dimensional interactive technology in the application of carton CAD has important theoretical and applied value. The core content of this paper is to realize the interactive three-dimensional carton design, and basing on the theoretical studying, designed and developed an interactive three-dimensional carton CAD system. Around the software in some of the key issues, the main research works and achievements are outlined as follows:A systematic study of the representation and storage of carton's geometric information and topological information, using methods similar to the CSG constructed tree—carton structure tree describing the node topology structure, using the description of B-Reps method to describe the geometric information of each surface node, not only clearly descript and storage the geometry and structure information, but also provides support for interactive operations.Study three-dimensional interactive technology in the application of three-dimensional carton, including the hierarchical object pick-up (point, line, and plane), the interactive graphic editing, interactive editing structure of carton, surface texture material interaction editing, interactive graphics creation.Automatic conversion between three-dimensional and two-dimensional carton boxes is studied in it. Through a certain algorithm to automatically search out the folding carton line, automatically calculate the folding angle of carton's plane, realizing the exchange between three dimensional and two-dimensional cartons, so that the three-dimensional carton boxes designed in three-dimensional space can also be output as two-dimensional structure diagram.Study the design methods, implementation methods and operation method of interactive three-dimensional CAD system, mainly provide a system design ideas of three-dimensional graphics engine, the engine has good maintainability and scalability.
