Region & Culture--Creat Morden Landscape With Characteristic

With the economic globalization speeding up, the region boundary blurring, the characteristic of city also weakens fiercer. This article first construes the related concepts and theories of regional culture, and then analyses the western typical landscape works selections. Through the comparison of thinking mode, aesthetic orientation between China and western countries, it is clear that the expression of western region culture in landscape has limitations in Chinese gardens. Further analysis of the mode of Japan from the copy western, and successful transformated, extract the inheritance and innovation in the design concept for guiding ideology based on analysis and discussion of the example of China Garden in Shanghai Expo 2010.
