As one of the most important part of Chinese traditional architecture and a comprehensive art of Chinese aesthetic, the classical Chinese garden can be sure to be connected with contemporary architecture. Contemporary architecture can learn from the classical Chinese garden and become more varied. It's a global time, and the modern architecture has been developed very fast, but it has been a problem how to inherit the regional culture. Fortunately, we have got such theory as"critical regionalism"and the regional culture can play an important role on contemporary architecture. It is possible for contemporary architecture to learn from the classical Chinese garden, because the classical Chinese garden has its own special features. In fact, the spirit of the classical Chinese garden has been tried by some famous architects on their architecture practice conscientiously or unconscientiously. It is a great fast developing time in China now, there are many opportunities for Chinese contemporary architecture, and also for the classical Chinese garden. In this paper , I try to combine contemporary architecture and the classical Chinese garden , and make them more active.
