With the rapid development of the society, the traditional living style and residential form of Chinese people have made a great change. The profound humanities environment which was precipitated from our age-old history and culture has been removing from our daily life.Based on the features of the door and window frames, the author makes an analysis of the uniqueness and typicality of the traditional Beijing courtyard. Under the guidance of the latest theory and successful cases home and abroad, the dissertation demonstrates the potentialities and possibility of continuing and developing the traditional door and window frames. The paper traces the history of Chinese culture and analyzes the climate, topography, landform and political transformation by adopting the studying methods of induction and proof research. The paper also aims at attempting to find out a significant strategy to combine the Chinese traditional architecture culture with the international design.
