The comfort of Outdoor living areas thermal environment is one of the most important hallmarks to measure the quality of people's lives, with the standard of living rising and rising, people demand higher and higher comfort of Outdoor living areas thermal environment, But with the economic development. In the residential area building around, designers haven't placed enough emphasis on the thermal environment of the residential areas and considered not the full, even if they found the thermal environmental conditions of the residential areas are relatively poor, the measures for improved are rarely, so residents were forced to passive control of indoor thermal environment to meet the needs of there own thermal comfort. At the same time, a lot of energy consumption, and also paid the corresponding energy costs. The thermal exhaust from indoor made the outdoor thermal environment worse. In this case, there are a large number of researches on the outdoor thermal environment of residential areas at home and abroad. But confined to the premise of a large number of artificial investigations, People improve the thermal environment of residential areas by using the theory of architecture and plant ecological field theory. In this paper, choose residential area in Shanghai as the research object, TM image in 2007, MODIS data in 2008 and Aerial photo images in 2008 are as the basis of the data source. People use GIS tools and a certain degree of manual investigation to extract and correct data, study the relevance between the area of residence and living green area and the average temperature, summed up the main contents of the following sections:The first part is mainly on the main background of the papers, the research status and problems of outdoor thermal environment of residential areas at home and abroad, such as the different scales of the thermal environment study, the different factors to improve the thermal environment, green factors in different forms and structures, etc, the purpose of the papers.In section two, it mainly tells the geography, climate and economic situation of the subject, the basic Technique Route and the main research methods, which are to study the relationship of temperature and virescence in multi-apartment and single-apartment.The third section is the main part of this essay. Firstly it give a demonstration of the distribution of background temperature, and study the relationship of temperature of multi-apartment and types of plants indoors and outdoors, then in the view of multi-apartment, study the analysis of the flat green and landscape with the temperature in higher- floor and multi-floor apartments and establish the temperature prediction model. The fourth section is the conclusion of this essay. Through analyzing the results of the essay, summarizing the adequacy and inadequacy, give some advice how to improve the thermal environment of living areas, which can direct how to study the thermal environment in the future.In summary, this essay is based on the basic theories of greenbelt and thermal environment in living areas, take the greenbelt as the subject, and take thermal environment as the breakthrough point. And hope to accomplish the destinations as "discovering the relationships, optimizing the design, consummating the target" through compiling the scientific research technology, systemic analyzing method, summarizing synthetic method and graphing models.
