Study On Hard Landscape Design Of Residential Area

Residence is the essential need for human survival, which is one of the most important parts of human living and behavior. Residential area is a base on which human live, develop and constantly improve. The implementation of reform and opening policy provides good opportunities for the construction and development of residential area in the 1980s, pushing it to a new period of overall development. Before this, the manipulation of residential area's environment is simple. The rest of land was only made green with plants besides fundamental system of road. With social progress and the increase of people's material living standard, the demand for human residence has moved to a higher level from the satisfactory of physical demand to psychology and culture. The function of residential are is not only for living but for thinking and communication. In addition, more and more people begin focusing on outer environment of living. Therefore, recently landscape design of residence has been one of the hot topics and the primary condition of purchasing houses. People have realized the importance of improving environment and living standard. Residential area is closely related to the environment and people's living. The care and attention for the quality of human living environment are classified as one of the major disciplines of living environmental construction. Hard Landscape, as an essential part of entire living conditions, attracts more attention. It has functional meaning, but also has the visual and psychological effect. Based on the concept of hard landscape, my paper analyzes the existing types of hard landscape and then creatively classifies them in residential area. My paper continues to analyze people's demand for aesthetic and activities of hard landscape, to divide and summarize the elements of hard landscape design, to put forward the problem of personalized design of hard landscape in residential area and to explore it, in order to design a landscape suitable for human living and entertainment.
