With the rapid development of China's society and economy and the continuous improvement of living standards,people's requirements for residential areas have been upgraded from meeting basic living standards to pursuing more comfortable and pleasant living spaces.The construction and development of residential areas also emphasize on “people-oriented” design and care for humanity.Since the reform and opening up,the development of humanized living spaces that are suitable for modern and future society,and further improving the living conditions of residents have become important research topics for building a well-off society in China.However,the concept and idea of humanized space design in residential areas are not static,but rather constantly changing and calibrated throughout time and social development,objectively reflecting the developmental state of the society at that time and people's mode of thinking.Under such circumstances,the author took the existing residential areas in China as research objects,studied the problems and shortcomings in the humanized space design of China's residential areas,and further explored the actual needs of people in modern life through extensive documentary review and field research on someresidential areas.At the same time,the most representative humanized spaces of residential areas including traffic space,green landscape space,leisure space,communication space and ornamental space are analyzed in detail,in order to further explore the basic principal and methodologies in humanized spaces construction in residential area in China.The research content of the article is divided into six parts.The first section elaborates the background,scope,purpose and significance of the research,and the research status and methodologies in China and overseas.The second section defines and analyzes the concepts related to residential areas,humanization theory and humanized spaces.The section also summarizes problems and shortcomings in the construction of residential areas in China,which provides basis for the research thesis.The third section analyzes the basic scale,behavior characteristics and psychological needs of human beings,and discusses the modern residents' demand for the living space and environment.The fourth section puts forward the basic principles of humanized space design suitable for the residential areas in China from the macroscopic point of view with current situation of the residential areas and the needs of people as theoretical grounds.The section also discusses the design and construction of representative humanized spaces including traffic space,green landscape space,leisure space,communication space and ornamental space in the residential areas,and put forward the concrete construction method of humanized spaces.The fifth section analyzes and discusses the design of Beijing Sun Park Community based on thebasic principles and design methodologies laid out in above sections,fully integrating research theory and actual practice,and implementing the methods and concepts of residential humanized space design.The last section of the article explores the future development model and prospects of China's residential areas based on the research and exploration in previous sections,including the necessity of developing humanized spaces in China's residential areas and views and insights of the development of the open blocks in China.The research content of the article emphasizes the combination of theoretical research and practical construction,and strives to comprehensively and systematically analyze and study the principles and methodologies of humanized space design in residential areas,in order to increase people's understanding of humanized residential areas,and provide certain reference value for the development of humanized residential areas in China.
