Hydraulic transmission technology has been widely used in various industries, in particular the metallurgical field. Here the performance of the hydraulic components can guarantee the stability of hydraulic system operation and is also very important to its reliability. To identify system malfunctions and examine performance of newly-arrived and post-repair hydraulic components necessitates test equipments. At present the test-bed is mostly applied domestically to examine performance of a type or several kinds of hydraulic parts, which is far from meeting the test demand since there are wide variety of hydraulic components in the system. The development of computer software and hardware technology as well as CAT (Computer Aided Test), especially the application of VI (visual Instrument) in the automated test of hydraulic components, plays an important role in the improvement of test efficiency and precision as well as in research and development of hydraulic components and system. In the thesis, the author develops a set of comprehensive hydraulic test-bed instrument centrally controlled by CAT, which is of great significance in enlarging test scope of hydraulic components and increasing test efficiency.The thesis presents comprehensive analysis of experiment contents of various hydraulic components and test results for different hydraulic features. Based on Lab VIEW 8.20 program software, an all-round hydraulic test-bed used in hydraulic test system is developed. It can serve many functions, completing the performance test of hydraulic pump, hydraulic motor, hydraulic cylinder, and hydraulic valve, collecting and analyzing data, and producing test report. In addition, during the design phase of test systems, the author fully exploits the functions of the Lab VIEW 8.20 software. As a result, the design enjoys modular and hierarchical structure which improves the programming efficiency and test results.Results generated from field experiments show that the all-round hydraulic test bed meets the requirements for being multifunctional and high in test precision and is also easy to operate. All these suggest the design of the comprehensive hydraulic test system is feasible.
