Research Of Huai'An City's Vicissitudes Based On The Philosophy Of Adapting-to-Changes

The change is an eternal theme. While China and its cities are being in a changeable age and world, how to judge the changeable development of Chinese city by our own perspective and seek an appropriate solution from the Chinese tradition philosophy, becomes an urgent matter to solve. Based on the perspective of the adapting-to-changes philosophy, this article takes urban development and vicissitudes of Huai'an as a case, makes a comprehensive analysis of urban changes, the stages of adapting-to-changes, the impact factors and the internal mechanism. The full paper is divided into three parts:Firstly, depending on the results existed before of the comprehensive summary of compatible-vicissitudes philosophy, this paper probes into its meanings and core and applications, and analyzes its guidance for the study of the city and urban planning.Secondly, making on the basis of systematically combing the history of urban development of Huai'an, this paper screens and abstracts the key factors impacting on its urban changes, and makes its history of changes into four periods:the ancient germination, prosperousness of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, decline in the late Qing period and development time of the liberation period. For every period, the paper makes a more systematic and comprehensive analysis and commentary on the development and adapting-to-changes, separately through political and military, economic and market, social and cultural, natural and environment, canals and transportation, planning and construction and management, as well as three aspects on macro-the-various regional, mesial functions and structures, micro "point, line, surface," from two levels of area and city,and city and its central area.Finally, Combining with the main research findings of the foregoing, this paper also makes the abstraction, induction and deduction of Philosophy for adapting-to-changes, and tries to construct a framework for thinking of adapting to the urban planning, which interpretates, guides and promotes Huai'an City's sustainable development.
