Study On The ISO14000 Environmental Management Systems By Overall Processes Of The Highway Project

Along with the development of domestic highway construction, the environmental impact caused by highway projects outstands increasingly. However, an integrated environmental management system in domestic highway projects has not been established, that caused a bad management performance, and a systemic management mode was desiderated. Therefore, the application of ISO14000 to the highway project environmental management by overall processes turned into an efficiency and rising way.By the reserch on the the environmental impact through overall processes and the management actuality of highway projects, the ISO14001 Overall- Process-Environmantal Management System (OPEMS) for highway projects was constructed, and its administrative levels were analysed. An application of the ISO14001 to highway construction corporations was also carried out, and a particular way for the construction of the EMS was displayed. At last, the application impulse of ISO14001 was analised, which brought sorts of policy set into 4 categories.By applying and pushing ISO14000 in highway project environmental management by overall processes, it will redound to establish an international and systemic environmental management mode, and conduce to a better management performance.
