Study On The Development Evolution Law And Generative Mechanism Of The Sub-CBD Of China

As a newly-appeared type of the functional district in the city, the Sub-CBD plays an important role in promoting the development of the urban spatial structure. It may also assemble the activities of the urban economy, culture and society. The paper elaborates on several foundational conceptions and theories about the Sub-CBD. In addition, the emphasis is put on the forming reasons of the Sub-CBD of worldwide scope, in order that the relationship among the Sub-CBD with the city centre district, the Sub-CBD with the urban scale and structure and the Sub-CBD with the urban economy and technology can be posted. Based on a historical analysis, this article expounds the status of the development evolution about the mass urban spatial structure since our country was founded, and also proposes that the construction of the Sub-CBD is the necessary choice to resolve the unreasonable problems of the mode of spatial structure in the metropolitan of our country. Thus the development evolution law about the Sub-CBD is summarized. Focusing on the method of the comparing cases, a research is conducted on the discussion of the generative mechanism of the Sub-CBD from different aspects.Like many cities in our country, the urban space still spreads on the mode of single centre in Xi'an. At present, this developing mode of multi-spheres hasn't possessed the ability to expand the multiple activities of the city. The investigation and discussion of the layout and construction of the Sub-CBD in Xi'an is hoped to have directional effects on the alteration of urban spatial structure in the future. In the previous master planning of Xi'an, Xiaozhai area has been defined as the centre of the cultural and educational district in the south suburb. With the enlarging of the space scale and the amplifying of economical strength of Xi'an, Xiaozhai area plays a more important role in the city. An object study of Xiaozhai area is conducted to further analysis of the feasibility that the area which has existed in the constructed district of the city expands to the Sub-CBD in the location environment of Xi'an. By the conception design, the article demonstrates how to utilize the district preponderance, the traffic condition, its own feature and the radiate affinity to conquer the adverse conditions and construct the Sub-CBD of which the culture function with the area feature and the section force is the chief function.
