| For treating diseases of asphalt pavement, our country mainly adopts the correcting maintenance to cure, being in progress just after diseases appeared and has to be maintained , which makes diseases more and more grave. Preventive maintenance prevents troubles before they happened , makes the road surface keep fairly good function in the longtime. Study and apply to preventive maintenance has great importance for curing to our country highway asphalt pavements.The thesis analysised causes and mechanism of highway pavements premature failure in He Nan province, find that highway matches composition and construction-controlled had insufficientes at present, which lead to premature failure of highway asphalt pavement within short time. The thesis analysised common uses of preventive maintenance measure at home and abroad ,take two sections of He Nan province highway for example, study diseases developed condition, work out corresponding preventive maintenance measure.Based on the diseases condition of He Nan shang-kai highway ,we make the decision that take the measure of Hot-Mix Overlays to treat. This thesis chooses 4 commixture material grade to design, adopt Marshall and revolution compaction measure to carry out test, Study results indicate that rising Marshall strking times has it's new characteristics. New mixture designed by this method has lesser asphalt content, higher density, smaller VV and VMA and larger VFA. In addition,when strke at 100 times the indexes of the mixture are at near horizontal laying, and in contrast with SGC, the best asphalt content is at close range. And then compared with performances about 75 and 100 of Marshall strking times, find that mixture of 100 strking times has better rutting-resistance performance, higher water damage-resistance performance and better crack-resistance performance. So we give the advice that for better performance of a road, we can take the measure that rise Marshall strking times.
