With the development of microelectronics, the gates in one FPGA chip had grown from thousands to lakhs,millions and the numble of I/Os had increased from tens to more than one thousand in recent years. Therefore, as the integrate platform of SOC and FPGA, the technology of SOPC, integrating a system on a FPGA chip, is getting more and more developed.The paper designed and realized a vehicle signal-processing system based on the SOPC technology, using Altera's high performance FPGA EP2S60F1020 as the center processor.The paper, adopting SOPC technology into the vehicle signal-processing system design, analysed the former DSP scheme, and brought forward a new design, based on the new developed design technology and CMOS chips. According to the sysytem's needs and the SOPC system's characteristics, the paper first carried on the soft hard demarcation, designed the macro-system. Then, the paper particularly expounded the designing process of hardware platform from the selection of center processor, periphery circuit design, and the high performance power supply circuit design. As the IP modules were regarded as a part of the hardware in a SOPC system, the paper emphased on the design of the Nios II system and the 64bits/66M PCI IP module. In the process of debugging, custom FIFO interface, SDRAM controller, interruption management, and DMA controller were discussed. Also, the DMA teransfors between the memorys of the SOPC system and 64bits/66M PCI transfers were emphased. At last, the paper optimized the whole system. The SignalTap II was used in the whole processing.The vehicle platform was a multi-sensor system, and needed to process the infrared data and radar data separately. In order to accompany the processing of the multi-sensor datas, several SOPC signal processing hardware platforms were needed. On the platform A, the paper introduced an improved arithmetic of infrared median filter, and particularly discussed its SOPC realization. In addition the paper analysed the SOPC realization of the radar pulse compress in the frequency field, introduced the FFT realization of 4096 points in the SOPC system of the platform C.Finally, the paper made a whole summary of the system and pointed out the contents of the further research.
