Infrared earth sensor is one of the key components in satellites for attitude sensing, which is used to measure the attitude deviation between the satellite and the earth. To further improve their accuracy and reliability, it is necessary to develop test instrumentation during every development phase of infrared earth sensor.In this dissertation, based on the test and validation requirement of the swing-scanning infrared earth sensor, the compensation methods against main measurement errors of infrared earth sensor, finally the calibration test device are studied. The main research is as follows:Firstly, analyze the two main error sources of the infrared earth sensor, which include the earth oblateness and the no-uniformly distributed atmospheric infrared radiation. Modeling, simulation and analysis results show the impaction of those two errors on attitude confirmation of scanning earth sensor.Secondly, the tasks and testing requirements of the swing-scanning infrared earth sensor in various developing and producing phases, especially the calibration test requirement in the phase before assembly are studied. Combining the practical project tasks, a set of device for the test of earth sensor before assembly is developed. The test system includes a electrical test box and a data acquisition and controlling system.Finally, the developed test instrumentation is utilizes to realize the test and validation tasks of real earth sensor before assembly. The test results show that the device all could satisfy the test and validation requirement in the development period of swaying scanning infrared earth sensor.
