A set of VXI bus test platforms in common use to the missile system test was researched in this article. Concept, structure and characteristic of Virtual Instrumentation, VXI bus system and Standard Command of Programmable Instrument (SCPI ) were briefly introduced.Then carried on the abundant study of the missile autopilot. Based on this study, the user's needs was defined, the test parameter of every part was summarized, the encourage method and test clicking was choosed; Test system based on VXI bus was researched. The test systematic hardware that makes up the overall scheme was confirmed consider from such factors as possibility, complexity, reliability, price, etc. Reached on the selection and connection method of controller, computer, bus type, instrument module and signal modulation. Selected the hardware type and integrated the test system finally. Regarded LabWindows/CVI as the test system software platform, designed the framework of the test software, realized the test module, analysed the application program module by back function way, write and set up detailed program and the necessity function code, designed test data procedure methode, provided the report generation concrete implementation method; The article give a research on reliability of testing system finally. It is proved that the test system rebuild by VI is better than the original system.
