With the improvement of the quality of people's lives, the requirements of automotive customers has become increasingly critical, they tend to more and more demand for personalized and high quality services to meet more needs to be able to show its value, to meet their individualized demand for products, mass production model of the products produced are not very good to meet the personalized needs of customers.On the other hand, a wide range of applications gradually increase production efficiency, the automotive industry's core competitiveness of enterprises are no longer limited to production and quality, and gradually shift to keep abreast of changes in customer demand, the market trends, produce the real needs of the customers products and continuously improve customer satisfaction and so on. Therefore the full implementation of customized automotive industry is an important direction of development.While there are many examples of successful applications of personalized product customization system at home and abroad,many companies developed their own e-commerce website, online sales and ordering,in this way ,they alaways use the custom text, pictures and flash animation as the main form of display, it is difficult to reflect the full picture of the product, the expression of information is only limited to the two-dimensional form, did not provide effective means for personalized design model, it can not immediately see the results of customization. The customer is just audience, lack of the necessary interaction.This article is the view of this situation will introduce virtual reality technology to the car customization, establish a set of car customization system in Virtools-based virtual reality, which should have automotive products rotating view of the multi-angle, body color and choice of components, such as personalized interactive features, and support custom data collection, to provide customers with an interactive, realistic and real-time way of customization.In this paper, the work includes the following:1.Through customization, mass customization and other related knowledge, learning, understanding the implementation of mass customization on the current state, the use of relevant theories of mass customization and integration features of automobile production, identified the automotive industry's strategy to implement mass customization.2. Learn and master the relevant knowledge virtual reality technology, understanding the application of virtual reality technology and Means of implementation, decided hardware and software platform the development of customized. At the same time, analyze the inadequacy of existing means of custom, on the basis of taking full account of the characteristics of motor vehicles, decide the entire system modules, and determine the overall development process. 3. Establish detailed physical model of the motor vehicle and parts, exported to the car model database.
