A Study Of Children's Outdoor Playing Space Of Urban Residential Areas

Play is an important part of children's activity. Children grow up in playing and learn from playing. So a good play environment has important meanings to children's growth. The space which the children contact most frequently is outdoors play space in the residential area, and plays an important role in child's daily life. But at present there is no enough attention on children play space in the residential area. A lot of residential have not especially play area for children. Some new residential areas have arranged the children's play space, but usually the space form is dull, the play facilities are deficient. So diversified demands for children can't be satisfied, even basic security can't be guaranteed. Therefore, the research of children's outdoors play space in the residential area should be the content which can't be overlooked by planning designers and architects, and should get more attention and development.The thesis analyzes the requirement of outdoors play space and the effect of playing in children's growth, discuss the character of children outdoor play space. And the guide of design a good outdoor play space for children is got from it at last.The thesis is divided into four chapters:Chapter1: Exordium. Simply discussion on the origin, background, contents and significance of this study.Chapter2: Relevant theoretical research of the children's activities space. It analyzes from three Parts: children psychology behavioral development and children activities demand, children activities space and environment design of the residential areas, takes this as the theoretical foundation part of this thesis.Chapter3 Indicate the inconsequence in the children's outdoors play space in the residential area at present through look-in site and survey. Analyze the form, structure and interface of outdoors play space from space design side.Chapter4: Core chapter. Bring forward the design guideline and way of outdoors play space. Include the location planning design, the environment greening design, as well as the design of choice facility and instrument. It has the detailed introduction to the request of space security.
