A Study On The Characteristic Of The Ancient City Of Hancheng Historic City

Since ancient times,Han City is well-known as a famous town in the West Bank of the Yellow River,and it has very long history and cultural.It begin to be called Hancheng county in A.D.589 in sui-Dynasty and rse this name till today.in the north of hancheng is yichuan,in the south adjancent with heyang,in the west adjancent with huanglong,and in sight of xiangni,hejin,wanrong accross of the Yellow river in the east. It is approved by the State Council as the second batch of state-level historic city in 1986.Hancheng is located in the eastern part of Shaanxi Province,and in the middle of yellow river.244 kilometers away from Xi'an.It is an important gateway to Shanxi and Beijing.In this paper we take Hancheng as the study object.We starting from the Architecture Design and City Planning,then take the method of generalization and summarize to analysis the developing history,the historic cultural environment,the art of space distribution,society culture,geographical environment,cultural,location option and material elements of Hancheng.At the same time,we have done the deeply analysis of structural characteristics and developing process of the internal spaces for the history building.Then using the theory of Planning and Design,to analysis the traditional architecture style and characteristics of Hancheng,in both two ways of macro and micro.At last,we give some proposals,hoping that it will be good at the protection and development of Hancheng.Also,we hope it can be used as a reference for other historic cities.
