The main technique for the transmitting array of active sonar in the improvement of detection ability is whether increasing transmitted power or forming sharp directivity. The transmitting array has a certain shape when it left factory. In order to improve the directivity of the array, the original transmitted phase of the transmitting array should be calculated and regulated, from which a sharp wave bind can be formed in the detected direction. At the same time we often adopt proper amplitude weighting to reduce the sidelobe level. All of this provide a good condition for further signal processing. As a result a set of multi-channel signal source that the phase and amplitude of every channel can be regulated separately is needed. The thesis first introduces the concept and the classification of hypothesized instrument; Then the related knowledge about weighting theoretical design of the active sonar array is elaborated; Afterward the composition and the design method of the hardware system, the CPCI bus interface design, the digital signal processor connection design, the programmable logical controller connection design, the SDRAM controller design, the digital-analog conversion and the synchronizing circuit design is separately elaborated and analyzed. At last, the paper introduces the display and control software of the system and analyzes the result of the systemic test.
