Arbitrary waveform generator, as a universal measuring instrument, has gotabroad application in the field of modern electronic measurement. Meanwhile, newrequirements has been putting forward, in terms of its portability andhuman-machine interactive friendly. Embedded system, acting as the operatingsystem, is superior in power consumption, performance and cost.Thus, embeddedsystem is the optimal choice of Arbitrary waveform generator’s control system.This thesis, on the basis of a platform of embedded computer system, exploresthe human-machine interface, in an effort to management and control the arbitrarywaveform generator. Embedded system involves the hardware circuit design andsoftware design. OMAP-L138manufacturing by TI company is taken as the coredevice in hardware circuit. To complete a platform of embedded system: firstly,designing the circuit diagram; then, making PCB plate; and finally stimulating.Software design includes the transplanting UBL and UBOOT as well as the cuttingand transplanting of Linux kernel. QT development tools are to be employed inhuman-machine interface, so that subscribers,with the help of application software,are able to control the output waveform produced by arbitrary waveform generatorby virtue of.In this paper, results are analyzed for debugging. The debugging for hardwarecircuit portion includes a power supply circuit module, the clock circuit module,memory circuit module as well as some of the interface circuit modules; Fordebugging software components, primarily for the development of QT applicationsoftware debugging, debugging results show that using the application software canmanage and control output waveform of the arbitrary waveform generator.
