Research On Development Of Streets & Patterns In Chinese Cities

Ever since city created, streets & patterns have been the most important factors which influence city appearance. Streets & patterns of city usually give the city special space characteristic. Cities in our country have abundant types, and the cities own their local street's context. However in the actual construction, streets & patterns tend similarity, confusion, and space is dull. Most cities lack their own characteristics and lose local culture and context. Particularly the cities construction got into a period of unprecedented development in recent years. In the face of the pressure of population and the resources, the city planning work didn't keep up with the step of development. Peripheral region of cities lost to original context of the city street, appearing close living area, industrial area in great quantities that stopped the further development of street system. Particularly in living area, internal road only has less node contact with exterior road. Internal street system has no relation with the local street system of the city. In the last years, because of lacking the development of street theories, cities has already appearing the traffic jam, the environment worsen etc. If a solution cann't be found, the same thing may be appeared in the peripheral region of cities that becomes the cancer of cities in future development.This text emphasize that we have to pay attention to the research on streets of local cities, improving road system and keeping inheriting of the city context. As an example, the research of Tianjin original streets can help to guide suburban area of city to extend the local road characteristic .It can also give the opportunity of the organic growth of the road.This text puts on emphases on the solution of the problem of closing area.
