Research On Integration Of Urban Landmark System Based On The Heritage Of Historical Context

City landmark space can react the characteristics of a city or region, carrying the specific memories of the area.In other words, City landmark space can help people understand and remember the city. However,in the process of modern urban construction,there have been the phenomenon that have a similar in china. The features of some historical and cultural blocks even have disappeared,which reduce the symbolic significance of this regions.In response to this phenomenon, it is very important to research on integration of urban landmark system based on the heritage of historical context.It can make a city’s form more distinctive and coordinate the relationship between people and the urban environment to integrate urban landmark system. In order to achieve this goal, the designer must optimize the various elements within the landmark system optimization, make the landmark nodes and surrounding city elements constitute a relatively complete organic system, which can play its landmark role as a whole, in the city landmarks systems integration process.Regarding historical context as cutting point,this thesis combine the landmark system consisted of the landmark nodes and surrounding city elements with historical context,which can make the landmark system more distinctive healthily.This focused chapters of thesis are divided into two parts.The first part comprises theoretical exploration about historical context and landmarks systems.The second part comprises practical application.In the theoretical part, this thesis has discussed the relationship between landmark systems and urban fabric affected by historical context. And it has also discussed the relationship between the various elements of city landmark system and city image.In the practical part, taking Tianjin Old City area as an example, this thesis has discussed the integration strategies about Tianjin Old City landmarks systems by field research and analysis of questionnaires,which are aiming at providing guidance for urban Renewal.Generally speaking, the thesis originated in this situation that the distinctive features of Tianjin Old City has been weaked. Mainly from the perspective of urban form, it has analysed the reason for this situation, and the strategies how to solve this problem.
