With the widespread distribution automation in the building, it has become an important part of Distribution Automation System to collect Distribution Equipment's data and structure Supervisory Control System. Real-time distribution network through the acquisition of electrical equipment in the operation of various parameters, and the analysis of data collected, and to monitor its operation in order to optimize distribution network operations. Timely electrical equipment found in the operation of the unusual circumstances, the police rapid. Timely resumption of normal supply of electricity, we can reduce blackout time passing rate of voltage, voltage control to a reasonable level, improving the quality of power supply.The main purpose of this paper is to monitor electrical equipments in Distribution Network. This paper designed a monitor system and realized to real-time supervise the operational state of electrical equipments by using terminal signal acquisition devices and TCP/IP and GPRS and RS232/485 communications medium. As a whole, the paper designed Switch Cabinet's monitor system. The emphasis of this paper is to develop and design the data communication software which is based on GPRS. After operating, the software acquired reliable results.In this paper, according the real operational environment and selecting corresponding communication manner, there are the following results. Under normal operating conditions, the system monitors switches status and some analog signals timely, such as voltage, current, power, temperature and so on, and achieves to the purpose of optimizing Distribution Network's operational mode. When Distribution Network gets out of order or operates abnormally, the system will sent alarm signals and record fail events, and find fault section of the abnormal situation quickly, isolate fault area rapidly. At the meantime, it will recover failure-area's power supply, shorten power failure time and reduce power failure area. As a result, it has raised utilization ratio of equipments, protected Distribution System's reliable operation effectively, reduced manager's workload and improved operating efficiency.
