Study On Courses Of Accident-Prone Locations And Technical Countermesures In Highways

Accident-prone locations share few proportions of highways, but resulted in large numbers of traffic accidents, which are"bottleneck"of driving safely in highways. Because the complexity of accident-prone locations'causes of information, it is effective to identify the major causes and then take corresponding countermeasures, which can reduce the frequency and severity of accidents with minimal investment."Registration Form on Traffic Accident Information"is bases for pointsmen to handle traffic accidents. But the existing registration form chiefly take handling accident into account, the considering analyzing accidents'causes is deficient. This paper analysis the form's contents, and then supplement and classify which according to demands of handling accidents and analyzing causes. And then apply the improved forms to collect the traffic accidents datum of HaTong, HaDa and RaoCheng highways, which will provide datum for the research to be carried out.Analyzing the causes of accident-prone locations is the basis of improve them. This paper presents two methods to analysis accident-prone locations'causes: clustering-factor analysis method, which firstly classifies the accident-prone locations by the clustering analysis method, and then analysis the causes of various accidents-prone locations by use of factor analysis method, lastly, find the primary causes; Incidence degree analysis method, which firstly calculated the incidence degree between related factors and accidents, then classify the incidence degree by dynamic clustering analysis method. According to the results of clustering and the value of incidence degree, the accident-prone locations'causes are divided into the major causes, secondary causes, and nonsignificant causes.The ultimate goal of identifying accident-prone locations is to improve their security. The paper analyzes the problems that should be considered to improve accident-prone spots. Based on accident-prone locations'characteristics, the paper researched construction and management countermeasures to improve them. And then the method"Establishing order by Economic Parameters"is applied to analysis the orders of actualizing the countermeasures.Mapinfo and Mapbasic are used to exploder the Accident-prone Locations Information Management System. The system can carry out the functions that display accident-prone locations in the map and memorize and main accident-prone locations'information.
