Research On Supply-Demand Of Parking Planning In Urban Central District

Along with the social and economic development and the rapid increase of motor vehicles in China (especially the private cars), the laggard construction of urban parking facilities results in serious unbalance between supply and demand of the parking facilities, the parking problems have already become one of the key questions of city traffic.To solve the conflict between supply and demand of the parking facilities, first we should consider inherent connection between them, find out the parking problem in different district, consequently put up the rational planning and management of parking facilities. So studying these problems further will provide an important basis for the decision-making managers, and it is an important guiding significance for solution to the problems of the static urban traffic.This article first discusses the actuality of parking facilities in urban central district, analyses the traffic and parking specialty. Secondly, the demand of parking facilities is analyzed in this article, including sort and the factors affecting demand for park, as well as the forecasting methods and models of parking demand. The article has put forward the forecasting model based on the land using and network capacity, then give the example of the application. Thirdly, the article analyzes parking facilities supply-demand balance based on the current theory of equilibrium of supply and demand, including the connotation, modes, and the relationship between supply and demand. After studying it above, the article discusses the equilibrium of supply and demand system of parking facilities in urban central district.
