With the development of social economy, the energy shortage is serious day by day .The energy-conservation of buildings become more and more important. There are a large capacity and a wide range of existing buildings in our country among which the overwhelming majority is the non- energy-efficient buildings and the operate energy consumption are enormous. At Present ,according to the related statistic, the energy-saving building area only accounts for 3% to 5%of the total building area newly increased in our country every year, While in such existing buildings, most of them are highly energy-consuming. And the energy consumption indexes of the large-scale public buildings are very high. Take Beijing as an example, the energy consumption of all kinds of large-scale public buildings is about 100-350kw·h for each floor area of the whole year, which is 10 to 15 times of the power consumption of the same area of urban residential buildings. So we can say that whether could we reform the Existing buildings to energy saving buildings is very important ,which will finally determine whether could we promote the effective use of resources and energy and take the road to sustainable development.Ways of investigation such as inquisition about materials, interviews, researches, by which the program on the alteration of existing buildings in Qingdao area recently has been studied. Especially the high-storied have been focused in terms of energy-saving technology and economical aspect .It is not hard to say that the alteration of existing residential buildings has developed from the pure flat-to-sloping roof conversion to the energy-saving integrated alteration, which does not mean that it is just the simple alteration instead of integrated alteration of being energy-saving, waste disposal-reducing as well as the improvement of peoples' living environment.In respect of the application of the complicated systematic scientific conclusions, the thesis carries out the analysis of geographic and climate characteristics in Qingdao area and the research of existing buildings' energy efficiency reform both home and abroad, together with the survey of buildings in Qingdao area. On the basis of using reference to traditional and modern approaches to adapt climate condition in existing building reform, the thesis summarizes various strategies which can be used in Qingdao area.With the help of the analysis on the process from the project of the energy saving reform of an office Building in Qingdao area, the paper prints its goal as the Summary of the appropriate applications of the energy-saving technology for the surrounding structures in the existing buildings in Qingdao area. Meanwhile, this paper presents the technical and policy analysis of existing buildings energy saving reform, hope that it can offer reference to the future work.
