In this thesis, computer technology, automatic testing technology and measuring technology were successfully integrated in the Measurement and Control (M&C) system for the JPM-1 Contact-fatigue Tribometer(CFT). The improved tribometer can realize the continuous test intelligently.Firstly, the measurement structures of load and acceleration of former testing system were reconstructed based on the analysis of the structure and the function of the tribometer, a friction torque sensor was introduced to measure the friction moment A general intelligent M&C system was built up. The mathematical models for some parameters were established. Considering the characteristic of vibrating acceleration signal, the acceleration and its characteristic parameter kurtosis were used to evaluate the random signal. The high frequency and impulse interference were filtered by using the Low Pass Filter(LPF) and the grounding to distinguish the original signal. The system also uses the digital filter of singularity-eliminating by using the five-spot triple smoothing method and arithmetic equally method. The combination of the software and hardware filters can eliminate the interference signals effectively, and increase the precision of the output signal of acceleration. The system makes use of a sample frequency to collect vibration acceleration signal, and makes the matching of the acceleration signal and the theoretical kurtosis reaches perfect performance.The functions of measuring, analyzing, saving and displaying of multiple parameters in the tester are realized with the supports of the corresponding interface circuits, the hardware and developed software programmed by Visual Basic 6.0 with friendly interfaces. In addition, the use of the blocking design of the testing functions and the Object-oriented software technique will make it more convenient to upgrade the software of the CFT. Finally, the improved tribometer and the developed intelligent testing system were tested by a series of experiments, the results showed that the developed testing system can keep the good reliability of the test data and have better test precise and data repetition as compared with the original system.
