The group city is consisted with "Multi-center and Strip Axes" structure, usually separated by greenbelt and farmland. Under such pattern, the traffic flow can be dispersed to many other groups from the center zone, and the urban sprawl can be avoided effectually. So such kind of spatial distribution is well recommended in the world. However, one coin has two sides. The group city has its own traffic problems restricting its development. Aiming at the group character under current situation, it has special significance to give mush research on traffic problems in the group city.Zibo is one of few cities with group character and complex morphology in our country. Now it is evolving from the "Cross" structure to the "Multi-center Network" with "Grape cluster" ones. Take Zibo as an example, based on the analysis of "group" character, traffic fitness, the development direction of the city and the city transportation, the integrative strategies for traffic jam are proposed. These strategies include:Firstly, adjust urban structure and land utilization. This is an effective way for balancing traffic generation and attraction from source to solve the city traffic problems.Secondly, strengthen road infrastructure, so as to boost urban traffic accessibility and reduce the total trip consumption on the whole.Thirdly, optimize urban transport structure to improve traffic system capacity.Fourthly, improve the traffic management. With scientific and advanced methods, the road infrastructure could be made full use. Finally, base on the study of the traffic jam mechanism formed in group city and aim at the typical problems in Zibo city, the integrative strategies is proposed and simulated in this paper. It is expected for this paper to provide some useful opinion and method to promote the city traffic and relieve the outstanding traffic problems in our country.
