| Water is the source of life, which gestates the human civilization. The water resource is a key element to the development of the cities and the countries in 21 century. The lake, an important kind of city's water form and wealth resource should be protected and used well. There are so many famous waterfront landscapes in different cities in our country, such as the west lake of Hangzhou city, Xuan wu lake of Nanjing city, East lake of Wuhan city and etc. With the development and expansion of the cities, many natural water front landscapes which stretch to the outskirt or are located in the outskirt are encircled by the cities and become the inner lakes of the cites. Those cities incorporated landscapes are no longer just the natural landscapes or places of interests, moreover, those parts of the landscapes inevitable citified.With the development of industry and material civilization, lakes and other water resources are seriously polluted. The environmental problems are more and more serious nowadays, such as water pollution, ecological unbalanced, and scenic area damaging. However, lakes in china are explored wrongly or randomly in recent years, this makes lake resources and natural scenery damaged seriously. In such a case, the civilization of the cities would bring a lot of inevitably pressure to the development of the lake scenery spots. Therefore, how to use the lake resources effectively, and how to develop the lake spots and construct the scenery spots scientifically, becomes an important issue of the new period of our country's tourism and spots scenery development. For this reason, we should lead the people to deal with the construction harmoniously followed planning and design. Not only the needs of the urban dwellers should be satisfied, but also the beautiful spots should be protected well. We should take the advantages of our environmental vantages and optimize urban structure.The history and status quo of the Waterfront Townscapes in our county are analyzed in this paper; the relationship between lakes and the city layout is discussed, the lake landscapes status quo and its disadvantages and advantages effects under the development of the civilization are discussed also. Wuhan's East Lake is selected as an example. The paper has a general discussion about the arrangement and construction of the lake spots. Deep accumulate of history and requirements to landscape development are presented in the paper. The analysis not only has the theoretical value, but also has practical reference value as well. |
