Abstract/Summary:
The rapid expansion and development of cities helped a lot to promote economic prosperity and technological progress,but also caused decline of quantity and quality of natural landscapes in cities.People live in cities with a high population density and a fast-paced lifestyle for a long time tend to be physically and mentally unhealthy.Experts from all works of life began to pay attention to the relationship of urban public green space and population health.Attention restoration theory and other studies have confirmed that the plant landscape has a good restorative effect,but the effects of designing different kinds of plants,showing different color and appearance in different seasons,and building different senses of space on people’s health recovery needs to be further studied.We focused on East Lake Scenic Area in Wuhan to research the impact of plant landscape in different spatial types on perceived restoration from the perspective of seasonal plant.The thesis explained the research background from three aspects: health problems caused by urban environment,people’s demand for natural environment and the restorative effect of plant landscape,and defines the purpose and significance of the research;By reviewing researches on restorative environment and seasonal plant in China and other countries,analyzing the theoretical concept and design cases,we sorted out four characteristic factors of restorative environmental assessment,three main factors of seasonal plant change which are community ecology,color,appearance and space.And then,we constructed the evaluation methods to research the principles and strategies of seasonal plant restorative design.At last,five spatial types of plant landscapes in Tingtao,Luoyan and Moshan scenic spots of East Lake Scenic Area are selected for the research.We checked the plant species,their life-form distribution and ornamental characteristics in the sample plot,and analyzed the current situation and characteristics of plant landscape in these three scenic spots.We also graded photos of these three scenic spots by SBE evaluation method,the photos were took in different seasons and different types of space.The results showed that Tingtao got the highest annual beauty score and Luoyan scenic spot got the lowest score among the three scenic spots.According to the selected photos with the highest and lowest beauty scores,we evaluated the plant landscape by SD evaluation method according to restorative scale,and obtained the plant landscape factors affecting restorability in five types of space respectively.Our research provides a theoretical basis for the perception restoration of plant landscapes in similar scenic spots in future.Finally,according to the location,natural and cultural advantages of East Lake Scenic Area,and considering the protection and utilization of the existing plant natural landscape and human resources,we optimized the seasonal plant configuration,overall landscape construction and landscape elements in the five types of plant landscape spaces by combing the principles and strategies of plant seasonal landscape restorative design with the empirical research results.We hope to promote people’s understanding of the restorative essential characteristics of plant landscape by our research,and provide theoretical and practical basis for the design and construction of urban green space landscape in the future.
