The accurate measurement of hydrogen humidity in generator has great significance in guiding safe and economic operation of unit in power plant. The main work of this paper is researching the system of measuring the hydrogen humidity based on the method of microwave resonant cavity perturbation on-line. In this paper, the method was put forward which measuring the hydrogen humidity based on the method of microwave resonant cavity perturbation, and the measuring principle was presented. The equation was educed about the relation between equivalent dielectric constant of wet hydrogen and hydrogen wetness. The resonant cavity and experimental system was designed used to measuring the wetness, and temperature compensation schemes were studied at the same time. The effect of hydrogen and hydrogen wetness on generator retaining ring was studied by means of experiment analysis.
