As the experience economy is forming, consumers'attention on the products has been changing from their inherent function to pleasant emotion experience which would help to quiet human's soul. That is, the pure inclination towards rational demand has developed into individuation demand to pursue self-fulfillment. At the same time, the connotation of product design also changed in terms of this trend. The product would not only have the value of inherent function, but also have the intrinsic value of culture and spirit. Thus, the research on amenity-oriented design of product will be faced with new challenge.Based on analysis of theories and examples, a new view that the key for amenity-oriented design of product under the experience economy is emotion-oriented experience design is put forward distinctly. Besides the superiority from itself, this view emphasizes specially the important emotion character of amenity-oriented design in new phase. Thus, it satisfies different emotion demand of consumers and develops the connotation of amenity-oriented design. This view will be an important design method of product. The thesis comprises parts as follow:(1) Experience economy and experience consumption are presented. The concept of experience, the relation between experience economy and immaterial society is analyzed in detail.(2) The connotation of amenity-oriented design is analyzed and the history of amenity-oriented design is reviewed briefly. The concept of demand which close associates with amenity-oriented design is analyzed in detail. Then, the primary thought of amenity-oriented design is analyzed.(3) The concept of modern product design, the trend of amenity-oriented design, and the relation between experience economy and amenity-oriented design of product are analyzed. Based on these analysises, the new view of emotion-oriented experience design is put forward and expounded. And it's meaning and primary effect factors are also analyzed. Then, some methods of emotion-oriented experience design are discussed in detail.(4) The project is designed in terms of the view of emotion-oriented experience design. Thus, the feasibility and superiority of this view are proved.A summary of the thesis and the view of future amenity-oriented design are given in the end.
