A Design Research For The Publicity Of The Boundary Space Of City Residential Quarters And Streets

Today the conflict between private and public becomes gradually sharp, whichwas having reflected the personal space and the public space in the city to presentconfusion, isolate and violate mutually. And the problem with imperfection thehuman space of public life is gradually obvious.This thesis makes the material space boundary between street and residentialquarters in city as the research object. Aims at to create a human public boundaryspace where can insure the private for living at the same time promote the blendingand communicating of the public and personal space.The thesis sets out research material space with the concept of private domainand public realm first, distinguishing the meaning of public space and personal space,then discussing what the material space appearance between this two boundariesmean for public space; Combine with the investigation of the usage appearance of theboundary between streets and residential quarters which inside in Shanghai lane, newvillage and contemporary merchandise residence area, and with the summary of thecontemporary widespread problem and apocalypse as the foundation, this thesis has acenter idea that to get clear define the boundary will contribute to the private whichinsures private realm, and the good boundary space processing can promote thecommunication of public space and personal space, and enhance the public of street;After that puts forward 34 kinds of design main factors with connection mutuallyfrom three levels such as the city material space programming, building spaceappearance and the view environment of the exterior space design, which may helpour boundary space design to realize the public and personal space blending andcommunicating. At last these factors will be used in three kinds of residenceappearance types in respects of boundary space design to compare and evaluate theconnection of each other, which will be a practice verification to the thesis.
