The development of the railway transportation tremendously accelerates national economy developing. With the development of the opening to the world and the national economy, raising travel speed and heavy haul are developmental tendency of the railway transportation. High speed and heavy haul made vehicle and track vibrate more swiftly. At the same time, the noise is increasingly getting worse and worse, and has some bad effects on the health of the passengers and people who live near the railway. Aimed at the current problems, the dynamic force of wheel/rail and the dynamic response and sound radiation of vehicle wheel for high frequency are virtually discussed in this paper.In this paper, the coupling thought of vehicle/track is applied, based on the vertical vehicle/track coupling model, the dynamic force of wheel/rail which caused by the wheel/rail surface roughness is calculated. The finite element analysis model of vehicle wheel is established by using the theory of finite element method. The interaction force of wheel/rail is used as responses and the frequency response analysis is calculated, and the frequency response characteristic of wheel is analysed. The vibration characters from the finite element analysis is used as boundary conditions and a acoustic boundary element model of vehicle wheel is constructed by using the theory of boundary element method, the sound radiation of vehicle wheel is calculated. The results campared to the results of acknowledged model and software is accordant, so the correctness of this method is proved. Under the excitation of some irregularities such as dipped joint etc, the simulation of wheel/rail force is analyzed. The above-mentioned interaction force of wheel/rail is used as responses and the frequency response analysis and the sound radiation of wheel is calculated. And the results are analyzed. The space for further researching of railway noise is exploited, a new thought is provided.
