Train rolling noise is generated by vibrations of both the rail and the wheel. To predict the rail抯 noise radiation, the receptance of the rail is measured with data auto sample and process system. According the experiments, the corresponding natural frequencies are lower than those of the Grassie?s results, and the same with the vertical stiffness of the railpad. At the same time, the wayside noise is calculated at different passby speed, using Remington抯 Rail/Wheel rolling noise analysis model. The results show that the wayside noise increases 3dB if the distance far away from the track decreases two times, 4dB if the number of axles in the train increase two times, and 8dB if the train抯 velocity increases two times. The smaller the rail抯 acceptance is or the bigger the wheel抯 receptance is, the smaller the wayside noise is. Matching the receptances of the rail and wheel is an efficient method in controlling train rolling noise.
