| In my studies thatâ… included 3 major issues. As follows:1. About general concept of metropolitan district.2. Based on relevant studies of other countriesâ… have studied Ulaanbaatarmetropolitan district. In details: Ulaanbaatar's history, current situation, ageographical positioning, zoning of districts, further tendency of development, andthe Ulaanbaatar's role in Mongolia and in the region3. The issue of some sectors in Ulaanbaatar's metropolitan district. Forexample: The region's mutually different industrial sectors and the socialdevelopment issue... etc.The reason for me chosen the development issue of Ulaanbaatarmetropolitan district as my thesis is how to increase the role of Ulaanbaatar as acapital city of Mongolia in new economic situation, the cooperation with other localcities (towns), division of labor, to improve the competitiveness of local cities, toorganize industrial settlements of local cities, the issue of environment protection andmining, to provide to the residents secure, clean and comfortable living and workingenvironment. UB is playing strategically role in Mongolia and in the region in 21 stcentury and Mongolia's locomotive of development.
