The technique of constructing a dam with filling geotube is one of the importantstructure arts in coastal protection engineering and in enclosing tideland forcultivation engineering along the estuary and the sea. The filling geotube dam is alsoone of the important type technology in hydraulic and coastal engineering. Themagnitude and distribution of wave forces have a direct effect on safety and stabilityof the structure. Because of wave being subjected to many factors along the estuaryand sea, there are various difficulties when we determine the magnitude of waveforces of the filling geotube dam. At the present time, people apply physical modeltest to determine wave forces. But, test results done by different researchers alwayshave a great divergence when they apply variant model test methods and differentanalytical procedures in the flume experiment. If we want to get more accurate modelresults, we will still research more profound in a number of ways.In this paper, on the condition of the water-level of embankment as the sameheight as the dam, regular wave flume experiment are conducted on selecting fivedifferent degrees of slope which are 1:1.25,1:1.5,1:2.0,1:2.5 and 1:3.0,three differentwidths of slope which are 10cm,20cm,25cm, five heights of slope which are16cm,18cm,20cm,22cm,24cm respectively of dike body with the fillinggeotube. When wave steepness are 1/15 and 1/20 respectively, the paper discussesthe critical wave heights of dike body with the filling geotube, measures thedistribution of wave pressure ahead of the embankment, uplift wave pressure andovertopping pressure and describe their changes as the increasing of the wave heightBasing on various influencing factors of wave, the experiment achieves that variouswave steepness, ratios of slope, different widths of slope, different heights of slopeand wave heights have a great effect on the stability of structure and presents therecommendations so as to instruct practical engineering. Finally, paper generalizes the contents of this thesis and presents the continueddirection of the paper. Because of the confinement of various factors andinvestigative test of the paper, the conclusion must be its limitation. But it can still beborrowed ideas from the paper to apply in engineering.
