Since Chinese automotive industry on fast growing road, the marketing competition become more and more stronger. As a key part of this industry, automotive components industry can not be free from this strong competition. As a enterprise who want to be survival in this competition, the only way is quality improvement and cost reduction. In cost reduction, production cost can be reduced by taking some advanced production mode, it is important for a enterprise to reduce its total product cost.At present, most of automotive components supplier apply traditional production mode --- Operators in Line. This production mode play a negative role from efficiency and flexibility point of view. For solving this problem, need introduce a advanced production mode --- Operators in Motion which is anti-tradition. In this article, author will demonstrate this new production mode about its strongpoint against the traditional one specially in efficiency and flexibility.Associated with specific practice of author, this article will introduce a new process design method which is suitable for Operators in Motion from aspects of process layout, material management, cycle time balancing, and so no. Author of this article will demonstrate the advantage and feasibility of Operators in Motion with real practice and data.
