Abstract/Summary:
Freight income is one of the most important parts in the railway operation income, so how to get more cargos and reduce the operation cost efficiently becomes the topic of the railway development in the future. With fast development of economy, freight exchange in large areas becomes more and more frequent and freight demand is in sustainable growth. Nowadays railway infrastructure, vehicle performance, running distance of locomotive and railway organization is being greatly improved. So it is necessary to operate a through train with super long distance to release the contradiction between railway transportation capacity and the traffic volume, raise traffic volume and the transportation benefit, improve the forward-speed of freight, and reduce the pressure of the railway network.This paper presents the urgentness, advantages and disadvantages of through train with super long distance, and analyzes the impact on the consigner as well as the suitable strategy .With the application of systematics, this paper follows the optimizing steps of marshalling plan and gives out the choose of train route of through train with super long distance, and the method and formula for calculating vehicle Assembling time, station dwell time and train travel time. Besides, it describes the characteristics of vehicle assembling and the advantages of crew shifting system in locomotive extended routing.Combining the Dijkstra algorithm with algorithm for N shortest paths problem, the paper begins with the calculation of N shortest paths plan with least interval running time, then applies this plan to correspondent long distance through plan, and takes the shortest path as its running path.According to the operating condition of long distance through train, this paper constructs a model whose optimizing object is to minimize car-hours of marshalling plan. Combining with 0-1 integer programming, the paper also achieves the determination of marshalling plan for through train with super long distance by using the software development tool named C++.According to the situation of railway network in the southwest and economic development in Chengdu, the paper optimizes the marshalling plan of train operating between Chengdu and Guangzhou, and obtains the best marshalling plan of through train with super long distance. Through comparing that with the current marshalling plan of the Railroad Bureau, it analyzes which one can save more car-hours.This study covers the main contents related to the optimization of through train with super long distance. It will work in releasing the contradiction of traffic capacity and traffic volume, improving the efficiency of fright transportation and realizing much more through transportation.
