In this paper, firstly, the development and the main problems in the domestic auto industry are briefly summarized. Therefore, it's necessary to control the reliability during the development and manufacture of automobiles. Secondly, the application of domestic and foreign reliability technology is described. Several methods which are most adopted in the development period of automobiles, such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Failure Tree Analysis (FTA), Criticality Analysis (CA) are introduced. Finally, the emphasis of the research is to discuss the application and implement of Process-FMEA during the practical production.Owing to the questions appeared in the implement of PFMEA, the necessity of designing the PFMEAHut software and the problems to be solved by the software are proposed.With the object-oriented programming language and the database technology, the development course of the PFMEA_Hut system is discussed in detail. A lot of databases are setup, such as "Failure Mode Database", "Process Database" and so on. As a result, the system is able to visit and deal with the Failure Mode Database, and provides powerful technical support for the reliability analysis during the production of automobiles.
