A Study On The Rebuilding Old Industrial Factory Districts To The Exterior And Exoteric Room Of Campus

Currently, during the development of Cities in China, a large amount of deserted or abandoned old industrial buildings have appeared because of the contradiction between industrial construction and urban development, the re-adjustment of city functions and industrial structure, and the change of partial land's function resulted from the adjustment of the overall urban planning and so on. Meanwhile, with the development and requirement of productivity and the basic conditions of social education, China's higher education has made considerable progress, and universities have been constantly expanding in scale. Contrast these two aspects, in order to enlarge the campus sites, expand the land space, the paradigm of making full use of the derelict and dilapidated industrial factory districts and its workshops and warehouse buildings and converting them into college campuses, and extending university space has emerged.This thesis belongs to the research of space rebuilding on the basis of old buildings' reuse, and its study's body is the old industrial factory districts that are increasingly emerging in urban areas. It will cause peat environmental effect on remove or renew the old industrial factory districts which has unique design philosophy and aesthetic value characteristics, so the old industrial factory districts become an important type in the process of reusing old buildings, and the reusing forms, methods of them are of universal relevance and uniqueness. This thesis' study direction is how to rebuild the exterior and exoteric space of old industrial factory districts to the exterior and exoteric space of campus. It focus on the transformation and creating design of the exterior and exoteric room, and architectural transformation approaches of the two building room of different function have been integrated. Combined the existing examples both in home and abroad, this thesis makes a further survey, analysis and theoretical research by example, in order to promote the accumulation of theory and design level. Moreover, this thesis initially explored the prospects and significance of transformation of the industrial factory districts in China, and that is another approach of college construction. This thesis tried to find the approach of rebuilding the old industrial factory districts into campus, and the approach must be adaptable to China's national conditions and of sustainable development.
