| With the development of our society and the increasing production of automobile industry traffic accidents have become one of the most serious social effects. According to the statistics of 2006, total 378781 traffic accidents occurred around the country leading to the casualties of 520,594 and huge economic loss of 1.49 billion RMB.Vehicle rollover accident is a major situation of single-accident. The proportion of vehicle roller accident is not very large comparing with other accident, however, it always leads to rather severe casualty. The statistics in 2004 shows that 20495 on-road rollover accidents and off-road rollover accidents occurred and 9174 person were killed in these accidents all over the country respectively accounting for 3.96% of gross of traffic accidents and 8.57% of gross of casualties. The serious casualties and large loss of possessions usually result from the strong shake from body, close touch between body and the ground, the destroy of driving room. There is no systematized study on three-dimension reconstruction because of the complexity and diversity of vehicle rollover accident.Based on the current rollover accident theoretical models and software for reconstruction adding to the results of vehicle-traffic safety lab in Jilin university the paper mainly accomplished the work below:After reviewing a large number of relevant documents an overall framework is established to meet the need of reconstruction and practical application.The characteristics and causes leading to a rollover are analyzed in the paper. Particular attention is paid to the class of rollover. Rollover can largely be classified Tripped-rollover and Un-tripped-rollover. The'three phases'theory of vehicle rollover reconstruction where are Pre-Trip Phrase, Trip Phrase and Post-trip Phrase simplify the process of accident analysis and make it feasible to reconstruct rollover accident using three-dimension simulation. Several dynamics and kinematics models describing the vehicle rollover motion are established and improved. The functions between CVS and impact time, impact height or other parameters are obtained. Model of rollover sequences is applied to calculate the position and status of vehicle and provide available evidence and method for reconstruction.Finally, the algorithm on OpenGL that will be used to solve the relevant problem is analyzed in details. Special consideration is taken into illustrate how to transform a 3D space to a 2D picture based on the theory of projection and buffer. A system flow chart is gained according to the framework and practical demand of reconstruction. The model of 3D reconstruction is programmed by utilizing three software, such as VC++, OpenGL, 3Dmax. The result produced from CARRAR3D is compared and proved by a real traffic accident case.The research will promote the development of traffic accident computer reconstruction and improve the study on traffic accident analysis technique providing a new methodology for traffic accident judgment. However, the result will be influenced by the complexity of rollover accident, differences of driver and diverse vehicle structure. Rollover accident reconstruction system will need further modifying, such as change of rollover movement, improvement of database and increasing the sorts of road scene. |
