Conservation Study Of Space Composition In Historic City With Nanjing City As A Case

On the background of globalization and rapid urbanization, space intention and urban appearance between different cities is getting more and more similar , and consequently the city feature conservation becomes one of the essential topics in urban research. The author thinks that conservation of the space composition is an important part of the uniqueness conversation in historic cities, and the efforts have important meanings.The dissertation is divided into 6 totally chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the reason , meanings, technical means of the study; Chapter 2 discusses the conception,meanings and signification of historic urban space composition conservation, and states the contents and the forms of space composition in historic cities; Chapter 3 studies the social background of current Chinese urban development―rapid urbanization ,and analyzes the influence and impact to urban space composition, as well as how to protect it; Chapter 4 puts analysis on the evolution of urban space composition in Nanjing; Chapter 5 concentrates on the threat brought by the rapid urbanization in historic city of Nanjing; Chapter 6,the author spends some thoughts on space composition conservation in Nanjing historic city, taking different region's experience of protecting urban space composition as reference, puts forward some personal advices , and introduces how to use new technologies in the dissertation.The thesis totally consists of 64000 words, more than 110 figures and 8 forms.
