Researches On Development Strategy Of City Open Space In Zhujiajiao

This research aimed to discuss the development strategy of the city open space in Zhujiajiao Town and the subjects in this study is the open space system in Zhujiajiao. Zhujiajiao is experiencing a high speed of development and there are several problems had been revealed during the course, the same condition as in the aspect of the open space development. The open space system is not completed cultivated and there are not enough public facilities. So it is lack of attractiveness and few outdoor activities were happened in lots of spots. Some district had suffered severe decline and the landscape of the ancient town was decayed. Such problems had baffled human resident environment improving and traveling economy development. So it is urgent to find out a set of policies and strategy which could stimulate the public activities in the open space. The strategy should also boost the development steadily and concordantly of the open space system.Data collection in this study was conducted mainly through field investigation. The investigation revealed the problems which the town faces and the researcher analyzed the reasons which resulted in such problems. FAHP method and SWOT technology were used to evaluate the public space development. And the theory of visual landscape resource management was also taken into the research process. There are seven parts in the thesis. Chapter 1 showed the background, problems that need to be solved, rational for the present study and objectives and scope of this study. In chapter 2 the author studied the succeeded foreign and domestic theories including some practical cases. The author investigated the current condition of the public space system in Zhujiajiao and analyzed the occupation state of the streets , squares and other several kinds of public space types and evaluated the development potentiality of the constructed space in the town in the Chapter 3 and Chapter 4. After data analysis, it is found that the reason lies not in the superficial phenomena but in the deep process of synthetic development including social ,economy and historic factors.
